cup yellow cornmeal | |
| 1 | cup flour | |
| 1 | tablespoon baking powder | |
| 2 | tablespoons sugar | |
| 1 | teaspoon salt | |
| 1/2 | cup cooking oil | |
| 1 | (8 oz.) can creamed corn | |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 1 | cup sour cream | |
| 20 | briquettes |
| Grease the Dutch oven well. Mix all ingredients in the oven (mix well). Bake with 6 briquettes on bottom, 14 on top for about 25 minutes. |
| (*just a hunch, but what if you browned a pound of hamburger meat first in the Dutch oven, then mixed the cornbread and baked... make a meal?) |
